Cookies — Enchant.ee

01The short version

Enchant.ee uses a small number of cookies and browser-storage entries. The ones that sign you in and remember your choices are always on — without them the site cannot work. Anything used to measure how the site performs is off until you accept it, and you can change your mind at any time. We do not run advertising, we do not sell data, and nothing here follows you to other websites.

02Strictly necessary — always on

These do not need your consent because the service cannot be delivered without them. Session cookie: set by our authentication system to keep you signed in; it is httpOnly, secure and SameSite=Lax, and it expires when the session does. Consent record: stores the choice you make in the banner, so we do not ask again on every page — storing it is what lets us honour a rejection. Security and abuse prevention: rate-limit checks tied to your IP address, and a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge on the signup form to keep bots out.

03Preferences — always on

Small values kept in your browser's local storage so the app looks the way you left it: your light or dark theme, which view you were last in, and similar interface state. These never leave your browser and are not used to identify you.

04Measurement — only if you accept

Vercel Analytics records page views, referrer and coarse device information so we can see which parts of the product people actually use. Vercel Speed Insights records real-world loading and interaction timings so we can find pages that are slow on real devices. Sentry captures errors — the stack trace, the URL where it happened and your browser version — so a crash can be diagnosed and fixed. A visitor identifier is stored so that repeat visits to the same creator page count as one visitor rather than several. If you reject, none of these load, no identifier is stored, and view counts fall back to a temporary identifier that is discarded when you close the tab.

05Changing your mind

You can change your choice at any time from the link in the site footer. Rejecting after having accepted stops any further measurement immediately. You can also clear cookies and site data for enchant.ee in your browser settings, which resets every choice and signs you out.

06Cookies set by embedded content

If a creator embeds a YouTube video, a Spotify player, a SoundCloud track or a similar widget on their page, that content is loaded from the provider and may set its own cookies once it loads. We restrict which providers can be embedded, but we do not control what they store — their own cookie policies apply. Nothing is embedded until the page containing it is opened.
