Plans and limits

There are four plans. This chapter is the full reference for what each one costs, what it raises, and what it never gates. Every number here is the number the software actually enforces — where the marketing copy and the code disagree, the code is what you get, and the disagreement is called out.

The four plans

Plans appear in this manual as badges — Novice Élégante Vedette Icône — in that order, cheapest first. The app shows the same four names on the plan cards.

PlanMonthlyYearlyWorks out atFee per sale
Novice$0$0free, forevercannot sell
Élégante$6 / month$50 / year$4.16 / month5%
Vedette$12 / month$100 / year$8.33 / month3%
Icône$20 / month$150 / year$12.50 / month1.5%

Yearly is billed once, as a single yearly total. The landing page spells the saving out as $44 a year on Vedette and $90 a year on Icône. Vedette carries a Popular crown in the upgrade dialog and a MOST POPULAR pill on the landing page.

Watch out

Yearly is preselected in both places you can see prices — the upgrade dialog and the landing page. The big number on a card is the effective monthly price; the amount actually charged is the yearly total. Switch to Monthly if that is what you want.

Where prices are shown

  • The landing page's Pricing section. It has a Monthly / Yearly switch with a SAVE ~30% pill, and a comparison table headed Compare plans.
  • The in-app upgrade dialog, Choose your plan. Its Yearly segment carries a 2 months free chip.

On a phone the landing comparison table pans sideways with your finger — its accessible name is Plan comparison table — swipe sideways to see more plans, a swipe → hint fades after your first drag, and the / arrow keys scroll it 80px per press.

Note

The four buttons on the landing page do not start a checkout. They take you into sign-up. Every real checkout starts from the upgrade dialog inside the app.

What every plan includes

The free plan is a real plan, not a trial. These are never gated, on any plan:

  • All 64 widgets. The catalogue is filtered by what a widget can do, never by what you pay.
  • Starter templates. Every built-in template is available on every plan.
  • Your public link at Enchant.ee/yourname.
  • Video uploads. Every plan can upload video — only the length and the resolution change.
  • Layout sliders. Spacing (0–20), Page padding (0–50), Canvas corner (1–4) and Widget corner (1–10) are ungated.
  • Global colours. The three pickers under Global colors & fontEffects, Text (all text) and Widget BG — are ungated. Only the font half of that section is paid.
  • Page background colour and the six gradient presets. (The focal point, filter, opacity and overlay controls only appear once a background image is set, and the image itself is paid.)
  • Icon labels and Clear canvas.
  • Five welcome AI credits, granted once per account, on every plan.

Watch out

The landing comparison table shows a dash for Custom fonts & colors on Novice. Only the fonts are actually locked — the colour pickers work on the free plan.

Every limit, plan by plan

Two tables cover every hard number. Each limit gets its own section below.

PlanPagesGrid (phone)Grid (desktop)Links
Novice34 × 88 × 48
Élégante10up to 6 × 20up to 20 × 6unlimited

Icône100 GB1 GB4K10 minutes

AI credits and their daily caps have their own table further down, and the marketplace fee is in Selling and the fee you pay.

Pages

Your page allowance is checked when you create a page — never when you edit one. Going over your allowance and then downgrading does not lock your existing pages; it only stops you making another.

  • The pages list header always shows how many pages you have used, then your limit. On Icône the limit shows as .
  • When the allowance is used up, the row you would type a new page name into is replaced by a locked row reading Page limit reached on Novice, with an Upgrade button.
  • If you get past that row anyway, the toast is Page limit reached for your plan.
  • The server refuses the save with Your plan allows 3 pages. — the number is your own plan's.

Account → Settings → Usage shows a single meter labelled Pages, reading used over limit. It turns red at 100%. On an unlimited plan the limit is left off and the bar simply renders full. When you are on Novice and at the limit, a Get more room button appears there.

Heads up

If a save is refused for a quota reason, the editor still toasts Saved locally / Your edits are kept in this session. — the same message you get when you are not signed in. It looks like a success. If you were creating a page or growing the grid and you see that toast, the change did not save: check your page count and grid size against the tables above.

Grid size

The grid is the column-and-row layout your widgets snap to. Its size lives in the editor's Design panel, under Grid size: two steppers labelled Columns and Rows, each a minus button, a typeable field and a plus button.

  • Typing accepts digits only. and step by one; Enter commits.
  • On the phone canvas, Columns runs from 2 to your plan's column cap and Rows from 4 to your plan's row cap.
  • The desktop canvas is the phone grid rotated, so the two ranges swap over.
  • A grid counts as valid if it fits your plan in either orientation.

Novice is fixed. Both steppers carry a lock glyph and their minus and plus buttons are dead — tapping into the number field is what fires the nudge: a brief shimmer and the toast Paid featureCustom grid size needs a paid plan — Novice is fixed at 4×8. Custom grid size starts at Élégante.

If you jump more than 40 in one dimension, the grid builds progressively — a spinner and Building grid… with a running count, growing 20 rows or columns at a time.

Heads up

Shrinking the grid can remove widgets that no longer fit. Undo brings them back, so do it immediately if it was a mistake.

Watch out

The helper line under the steppers on Novice says paid plans unlock up to 8 × 30. That is Vedette's ceiling, not the highest there is — Icône has unlimited rows, and its own helper line says so: extra rows stack below and scroll.

The server rejects an over-size grid with A 12×40 grid exceeds your plan's 8×30 limit. — both numbers are filled in from what you asked for and what you have.

Storage and file uploads

Storage is everything you have uploaded — images, video, audio, sprites, and the media copies made when you import a template or publish a marketplace listing. It is checked when you ask to upload, when the upload finishes, and on template import, template export and marketplace publish.

There is no storage meter

Nothing in the product shows how much of your storage you have used. You find out you are full when an upload is refused. If you are working near your plan's cap, clear space in Files before you start a big upload session.

What you can upload

  • Images, every plan — PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF.
  • Video, every plan — MP4, WebM and QuickTime.
  • Audio — MP3 and OGG, on Élégante and up. This is what backs the paid Ambient sound page feature.

Anything else is refused with unsupported file type. A single file over your plan's per-file cap is refused with file too large — that cap is 25 MB, 100 MB, 250 MB and 1 GB, in plan order.

Running out of space produces This upload would exceed your plan's storage limit. and, depending on what you were doing, This import would exceed your plan's storage limit., This export would exceed your plan's storage limit. or This publish would exceed your plan's storage limit. Importing a template says Not enough storage to import this template's media., and the Effect Builder says Your storage is full — free up space in Files first.

Video

Every plan can upload video. What your plan buys is resolution and length. The video editor offers exactly the qualities your plan allows, and caps the clip at the length for that quality.

PlanQualities offeredLongest clip
Novice720p30 seconds
Élégante720p, 1080p2 minutes
Vedette720p, 1080p, 4K5 minutes at 720p and 1080p — 2 minutes at 4K
Icône720p, 1080p, 4K10 minutes at every quality

Watch out

Vedette's plan card reads 1080p video · 4K clips (5 min) and the landing table reads 1080p · 5m. The five minutes applies to 1080p. A 4K clip on that plan is capped at two minutes. Only Icône gets long 4K.

A clip over the cap is refused when the upload is confirmed, with Videos are capped at 300s on your plan. — the number is your plan's own.

Selling and the fee you pay

Selling templates, widgets, themes, asset packs and effects in the marketplace needs a paid plan — Élégante and up. The fee is the platform's cut of each sale.

PlanCan sellFee per sale
Noviceno
Éléganteyes5%
Vedetteyes3%
Icôneyes1.5%

Unlocking it turns the Store tab's locked teaser into your full shop — listings, analytics and payouts. Until then that tab offers to open your own shop from the Élégante plan, and its top strip says Swipe down to start selling. rather than Swipe down to see your shop. Selling and payouts covers the shop itself.

  • The server refuses with Selling in the marketplace requires a paid plan. Every publish sheet and builder shows that as Selling needs a paid plan. — except the widget inspector's publish button, which says Publishing needs a paid plan..
  • A separate cap, the same on every plan: 50 listings that are draft or active at once. Over it: You've hit the 50 active-listing cap — archive one first. Drafts count, because a draft already holds its own copy of your media.
  • A listing's price is either free, or between $0.99 and $999.00.

The fee is frozen when a listing goes live

Upgrading does not re-price listings that are already published. A listing keeps the fee it was published with until you archive it and publish it again. If you upgrade for the lower rate, re-publish the listings you care about.

Heads up

The fee rate is not printed anywhere in the seller tools. The only places it appears are the plan cards and the landing comparison table.

AI credits and daily caps

AI work spends credits. A full page compose costs 1 credit; the small assists cost a fraction of one; widget rewrites cost nothing at all. On top of credits there are three separate counters that limit how often you can go, each on a rolling 24 hours — not a calendar day, so allowance frees up through the day rather than all at midnight.

PlanCredits a monthGenerations / 24 hAssists / 24 h
Novice3230
Élégante5015150
Vedette12030400
Icône250501000

The third counter is the one for widget rewrites. Its size is not published — there is no meter for it and no plan card prints it — but it is comfortably the largest of the three on every plan, and it rises with each one.

Watch out

Novice's three monthly credits are never actually granted. A monthly refill only happens when a subscription payment goes through, so a free account's only credits are the five welcome credits it receives once, ever. The app is honest about this in one respect: it prints no refresh date on a free plan.

Monthly plan credits are spent first, then purchased creditsYour planmonthly creditsTop-upscredit packsbalancean AI actioncosts from it
Plan credits are spent before purchased ones, so a top-up is never wasted early in the month.

Purchased credits never expire and are never touched by a plan change, a downgrade or a lapse. Plan credits are set to the new plan's allowance whenever your plan changes — upgrading mid-month refills you at the higher number straight away, and downgrading re-sizes the allowance down.

Where you check them

Account → Settings → AI credits. It shows your balance as a big number, then a sub-line breaking it into what came from your plan, what you purchased, and when it refreshes. Below that are meters labelled Generations today and AI assists today, each reading used over your cap.

Note

Widget rewrites are counted but have no meter — nothing on screen counts them down, and no card states the allowance. You will only learn you have reached it from the refusal message.

The composer's grid is not your grid

A page generated by the composer is always laid out 4 columns wide, whatever your plan. What your plan buys is height: a generation may use up to 8 rows on Novice, 14 on Élégante, 18 on Vedette and 24 on Icône. You can resize the grid afterwards as normal.

Buying a credit top-up

Top-ups are one-off purchases, not a subscription. They stack on top of whatever your plan gives you and they never expire.

Watch out

Read this first: the Top up section can be absent entirely. Both surfaces ask the server which packs are actually on sale and render nothing when none are. If you cannot find it, packs are not available on this deployment — not something you did wrong, and nothing in the app will change it.
PackPriceNote on the row
10 credits$1.49Never expire
50 credits$4.99Never expire · best value
100 credits$6.49Never expire
  1. Open Account → Settings → AI credits and find the Top up section. (The same rows appear in the composer under Or buy a pack when you run out mid-build.)
  2. Tap the pack you want. The row changes to Opening checkout….
  3. You leave Enchant.ee for the checkout page and pay there.
  4. The credits land on your account when the payment clears. The receipt is titled with the number of credits you bought.

Tip

If you run out inside the composer, the page it just finished is pushed into the editor and saved as a draft before you are sent to checkout. It is waiting for you when you come back — the button even says so: Keep my page & upgrade.

Heads up

If the checkout offers a quantity stepper, the quantity is honoured — buying three of the 50-credit pack really does grant 150 credits.

If a top-up checkout fails, the message is always Couldn't open checkout regardless of the reason. Try again in a minute; if it keeps failing, email support@enchant.ee.

When you run out

  • Out of credits in the composer: the headline is You're out of credits, followed by a sentence naming whatever you can actually do — buy a pack, upgrade, or wait for your plan to refill.
  • Out of daily generations: That's today's generations, with a reminder that the cap is a rolling 24 hours — and, when there is a plan above yours it can actually sell you, what that plan raises the cap to.
  • An assist refused: You're out of credits — top up or upgrade to keep going. or You've reached today's AI assist limit — it resets over the next 24 hours..
  • A widget rewrite refused: That's today's rewrites. They come back over the next 24 hours..

The composer's out-of-credits screen also shows a Credits left row with your balance and today's usage, a single upgrade card for the next plan up when there is one it can actually sell you, and a Not now button. Nothing was spent on the attempt that was refused, and your page is untouched.

Note

That upgrade card always checks out monthly, matching the monthly price it prints — unlike the main dialog, which defaults to yearly.

What a paid plan unlocks

Everything below is off on Novice, and every editor control in the list shows a crown where it lives. The None option is always tappable, even when the feature is locked, so a page that came from a template or a lapsed plan can always be cleared.

Attempting a locked page feature gives the toast Paid feature with one of several descriptions: Page features need a paid plan., Page effects need a paid plan., Custom fonts need a paid plan., Custom background image needs a paid plan., Shape masks need a paid plan. or Custom page effects need a paid plan.

Two fields are badged with the wrong plan

The background image field carries a Vedette pill, and the Enchantée button's Custom image or GIF field carries a Vedette badge and an Unlock with button naming that plan. Both actually unlock at Élégante. The badges are wrong; the gates are what count.

The credit pill is the only thing that needs Vedette specifically. Its section is Enchant.ee credit, with a toggle Show the credit pill (on for everyone by default) and a Custom text field of up to 40 characters that only appears while the pill is shown. On a lower plan both controls toast Vedette & Icône only.

Membership card materials

Your membership card's finish is a cosmetic perk with a real per-plan list, chosen in Account → Edit your cardFinish.

PlanFinishes
NovicePaper, Ivory
ÉléganteLilac, Orchid, Periwinkle Mist
VedettePlatinum, Graphite, Champagne, Midnight Steel, Rose Gold
IcôneObsidian Royale, Nebula, Emerald Noir, Sapphire Midnight, Oxblood Royale

Two more card details are paid-only: the holographic seal carries your chosen badge glyph on a paid plan and an embossed Enchant.ee mark on Novice, and the profession line on the card front only renders on a paid plan.

Where your plan shows up

Several places name your plan, and every one of them opens the same dialog. There is no separate billing page.

  • Account → Settings → Plan & billing — a crown card describing which plan you are on. The Upgrade button only appears on Novice; on a paid plan the card is read-only.
  • Editor → Design panel, at the top — on Novice a card naming your plan with an Upgrade pill; on a paid plan the same card with a Manage → affordance.
  • Desktop left rail — a plan card, plus a link reading Try Vedette free for 7 days. Collapsed, it is a crown tile.
  • Account tab, under your membership card — a small Upgrade material pill, on every plan except Icône.
  • Store tab — the seller upsell, until you are on a paid plan.
  • Pages list — the locked row, once you are at your page limit.
  • Settings → Custom domain — an Upgrade button on anything below Icône.
  • The composer — its out-of-credits screen.

Watch out

The desktop rail offers the seven-day trial link to everyone except Icône — including people already on the plan it is advertising. Tapping it just opens the plan dialog, where that card reads Current plan and is disabled.

Note

The Manage → affordance in the editor opens the plan dialog, not a billing portal. See Renewing, cancelling and downgrading for where billing is actually managed.

Upgrading, step by step

  1. Tap any Upgrade button, plan card, Upgrade material pill, Get more room or Get more credits. They all open the same dialog, titled Choose your plan.
  2. Choose Monthly or Yearly with the control at the top. Yearly is preselected.
  3. Read the four cards. They scroll inside the dialog — two columns on a phone, four on a wide screen. On a phone each card shows its first four features; the rest appear on a wider screen.
  4. Tap the button on the plan you want.
  5. You leave Enchant.ee for the checkout page and pay there.
  6. Come back to the app. Your new limits and your new credit allowance apply as soon as the payment is confirmed.

What each card shows

  • A coloured material strip, the plan name, and its tagline on a wider screen.
  • Novice shows $0, forever and no card needed.
  • A paid card on Yearly shows the monthly price struck through, then the effective monthly, then /mo, then the yearly total and the sale fee.
  • A paid card on Monthly shows the monthly price, then the yearly alternative and the sale fee.
  • Under the button: 7-day free trial · cancel anytime on Vedette and Icône, or Billed today · cancel anytime on Élégante.
  • At the foot of the dialog, once: Cancel anytime — everything you made stays yours..

Watch out

Paid buttons can read Available soon for a moment when the dialog opens — the dialog asks the server whether checkout is switched on and assumes it is not until the answer arrives. If they stay that way, checkout is switched off on this deployment. That is not a problem with your account, and nothing you do in the dialog will change it.

Note

Opening checkout over and over in quick succession is briefly limited — you would see Too many requests. Leave it a short while, then try once.

The free trial

The dialog's own description says it: Vedette and Icône start with a 7-day free trial, and you are reminded before anything is charged. Élégante has no trial — its disclosure line reads Billed today · cancel anytime.

During the trial you have the whole plan: every limit raised, every paid feature unlocked, and that plan's full monthly credit allowance. Nothing is held back.

Heads up

A trial is still a subscription. It renews into a paid period unless you cancel, and cancelling happens outside the app — see the next section.

Renewing, cancelling and downgrading

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You keep your plan's features until the end of the period you have paid for, and partial periods are not prorated.

You cannot cancel, downgrade, or see your renewal date inside Enchant.ee

There is no billing portal in the app. The upgrade dialog only ever starts a new checkout, and the card for the plan you are on is disabled. To cancel or change a subscription, use the link in your receipt email from Lemon Squeezy, who handle the checkout. To move down a plan, cancel and let the current period run out.

Your renewal date is not displayed anywhere. The only date the app shows you is when your AI credits refresh, in Settings → AI credits — and that only appears on a paid plan.

What still counts as paid

A cancelled subscription keeps every paid feature until it actually expires — cancelling mid-period never cuts you off early. A failed payment does not downgrade you on the spot either: access continues through the retry window. Access ends only when the subscription expires, is left unpaid, or is paused.

Your content is never deleted by a plan change. In the words of the Terms: downgrading turns off features beyond your new plan but never deletes your content.

When a plan lapses

The moment your account drops back to Novice, the limits in the tables above apply again. Your pages, posts, files and listings all stay where they are — but a few things change in ways worth knowing in advance.

The next page save strips your paid page decorations

Saving a page while on Novice removes these from it, permanently: the custom page effect, the link dock, the intro splash, the emoji cursor, the scrolling options, the widget skin, the micro-interactions, the living background, the stickers, the ambient track, the page entrance, the backdrop — and your background image. Per-widget shape masks go too. Nothing warns you first.
  • Your live listings stay visible but stop selling. The marketplace checks the seller's current plan at the moment a buyer pays, so a lapsed seller's listings refuse the purchase. The listing is never taken down on its own — archive it yourself if you do not want it sitting there.
  • A lapsed seller's fee stays at 5%, never zero. The free plan carries the same rate as Élégante precisely so that a listing published under a paid plan cannot suddenly become free to sell.
  • Your credit allowance is re-sized down to the free grant — and free accounts never get a monthly refill, so in practice there is nothing more coming. Credits you purchased are untouched.
  • Your pages are not deleted even if you have more than three. You simply cannot create another until you are back under the limit.

Upgrading again restores every limit immediately and refills your credits at the new plan's allowance. It does not restore page decorations that were already stripped by a save, and it does not re-price listings that are already live.
